Form for 77 and up Dealer Invoice requests from GM
Form for 77 and up Dealer Invoice requests from GM
I have attached a link to the form that Allied Vaughn needs to begin searching for your 1977 + Dealer invoices. I have also included a scan of my 78 Pace Car's Invoice. The neat thing is this document gave me my original dealers name.

I didn't know this service existed. Thanks for the tip. A question: I have one of the 1982's which the VIN number was "lost" by Bowling Green. Do you know if they can still find the invoice?
Mike, The two archives are independent of each other so I would imagine that it might be available. My understanding though, is that these are prints from microfilm. Some of the microfilm has deteriorated over the years. You can see the difference in quality between the 84 invoice I listed earlier under the "build sheet" thread and the 78 invoice. I hope it is there. It is very exciting to find a document that has been squirreled away for 25+ years... Sandy can create a PDF version and email it to you if you are too anxious to wait for the mailed version.... Eric
Eric, Im interested to know how long it took for your copy to be made from when you ordered it untill you received it back in the mail.
Many Thanks for finding this, I had not been able to find my build sheet from the tank or other areas. This wil be a great addition to my paperwork.
John
John, It depends. Usually in about 2 - 3 weeks. Less if a PDF is created. It also depends on their workload. Paying $50 for a single sheet of paper may seem absurd to some, but to me I think it is worth it. In the case of my 78 I knew nothing of the car. All that was left of the tank sticker was a business card sized portion that had no useable information. I was able to work the past owners forward and backward. Turns out my 78 was owned originally by Republic Gas Gathering Systems of Dallas Texas, one of T. Cullen Davis' satellite companies (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priscilla_Davis for background.) Cullen was the basis for the JR Ewing from the TV show "Dallas" Eric
