    C2 1966 ignition switch connector

Just got my dash harness from Lectric Limited and I noticed that the ignition switch connector is very different from my original. The original being a white transluscent 3- prong locking connector. The new one from LL is a non locking, black plastic version. With all their attention to detail, you would think that they would have this connector more correct.

I called them and the guy I talked to said that is "what they use". I'm a little skeptical. Has anyone else received this black connector from LL on their ignition switch connection?

    Thanks,

    Bob #22650

I put in a new LL dash harness about this time last year. It had the white connector for the ignition just like the original harness.

Yes, I've had one like you describe. Luckily, the old one cleaned up like new, and I swapped it into the new harness.

Thanks for the quick response guys. I called M&H and they too only offer the black one. Like you said, I think my best bet is to clean up the old one. Thanks for the validation that black is now the "norm".

Bob, replacment parts like this is the reason why and origianl car will always talk to you and a restored car will never speak just smile. Good luck with your project. Keith

I like those words, Keith. Never heard them before, but so, so true. Perfect analogy. Same as a beautiful woman who flashes a perfect smile, but no coherent words.
