Re: car judging
The Judging Reference Manual addresses issues such as this. The owner must be there to sign all the paperwork at check-in and the judging sheets at the time of judging. Someone else could drive the car to the meet and remove it at the end.Dick Whittington- Top

Re: car judging
Brad
You need to be their to check your car in and put it on the judging field or the staging area for the operation check. The day your car is judged you must be with your car till the judging is completed on your car. If staging is done for operations you must be their at that time also for operations and the move in at some meets.

In addition to what Reba says...
the NCRS Judging Reference Manual defines other owner obligations during a judging meet and it's worth reading BEFORE you arrive and go through the Flight Judging process 'cold'. There should be NO surprises!
Your car is also there for display purposes (many attend just to walk about and see the cars). Therefore, you're expected to remove protective covering(s) in the morning (even if your car is NOT being judged that day) and replace them at the end of the day.
When the day comes for your car to be judged, YOU are expected to put it in 'standard judging mode'. That means remove any covers, remove any non-factory items (floor mats, Etc.), raise the hood, extract the spare tire and associated jacking components and so on. Any tools required for these tasks are your responsibility to provide.
Bottom line, knowing ahead of time who does what/when/where (responsibility of owner + responsibility of judges) is a good idea!- Top

Re: car judging
If you're worried about security, that's generally not an issue.
The Judging Reference Manual may cover this, but if you don't have JRM, all cars parked in designated parking will generally have contract nightime security provided by the sponsoring chapter.
In the case of judged cars, they are in some cases (unfamiliar with Bend, but I doubt it will be indoors) locked inside the display building. This is both a blessing and a curse; if judging is indoors; it's great for the judges because it's climate controlled, but it makes owner use of the car very difficult, if not impossible. Even outdoors, you can expect restrictions and controls on your use of the vehicle, but security is generally not an issue...you can sleep at night.- Top
