Hey, was cleaning up my seat track and mounting plates and realized the front mounting plates have what looks like an "M" with the first hump of the "M" made into an "A" over a line. What the heck does that mean? Certain company that made the rail? Thanks.

Re: 67 Seat Track Stamping
I think that is exactly what it is, abbreviation/symbol of the supplier who made it. Can't remember the name, but seems there are other things with similar logo (like maybe the caps for the sway bar bushings for example).
I noticed on my 71 seat rails that they appear to even have date codes on the part of rail that bolts to the seat. Mine had an 104 1 on the rails with adjusting lever and 081 1 on the other rails. I am guessing this is 104th day of 71 and 81st day of 71.- Top

Re: 67 Seat Track Stamping
I've cleaned and mirrored every part of both rails and cannot find any date stamps on my 67 rails. Only place I can't see is where they directly bolt onto the seat plates. My guess right now is they are not there on a 67.
I did notice that every vinyl clip that holds the vinyl to the underside of the frame is marked "AC"
My foam appears to have something written on it in black marker, but I cannot see enough of it under the burlap covering to make out what it is.
I think these seats are original. They at least, sure look like it.
That's all for now. Hope that helps whoever is interested.- Top
