It's the correct SERVICE vacuum control, but it's not the one originally installed. The original was GM #1116201. Although it was once available in SERVICE, it was discontinued in the mid 60's and replaced by the 1116163. The 1116201 did continue to be used in PRODUCTION well after the time it was discontinued from SERVICE.
I would not rule out the possibility that the GM #1116163 was alternately used in some PRODUCTION applications in place of the 1116201, but I have no information to support that possibility. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Kelly,Be very careful using that replacement vac advance. It has a really stiff spring in it. I bought a ton of them from Chevy years ago and they ain't worth a crap.
What it is coming down to now guys is that fellows like David Fiedler-the TI specialist, etc. are having original VA's rebuilt. Not cheap to do though. So old JD here sold a lot of those worthless D1328 jobs cheap to the boys so they can use them for parts.
You need a ton of vacuum to pull off a D1328 fake vaccum advance. Better off using a nice one from NAPA. B22 made by Standard. I understand that my favorite B28 VA that was used with the 30-30 cams, etc. is now history. NA. Discontinued. History. Another good part I liked is gone.. If I am wrong guys please let me know. NAPA doesn't have them as we have searched all of NAPA stores in the USA and came up with just a few. John D.- Top
