how do you measure brake shoes

In all my junk I found some metalic brake shoes. The book says the rears 1957-1962 are 11 in. x 2 and 1963-1964 are 11 13/64 x 2. How do you measure these to see what I got? thanks for any help. john

I would take a piece of paper, draw (2) circles. One at 11" dia, the other at 11 13/64". Then lay your brake shoes on the outline. You should see, which one of the circled dia matches your brake shoes best...
