Code for 1971 Power Master Brake Cylinder

My NCRS 1970-72 judging manual and my 1968-82 restoration guide state that the correct number for a 1971 power brake master cylinder is #54 8 0346 with a PG
BUT all the suppliers have the number listed as #54 6 0346. The suppliers (Corvette Stainless Steel Brakes) are telling the judging manual is wrong. Help? Did one book use the wrong number and then everyone else used that number????Thanks Paul

You're probably getting few replies because the subject came up recently and was jaw boned to death (search the archives). The concensus was digits '0' '6' '8' and '3' can be very hard to tell apart on iron castings....

Where are all the NCRS judges???????????? What is the correct number--there is NO confusion on reading the number. The judging book says 6 and the supplies say 8. WHICH IS CORRECT when you judge a 1971 corvette??????????????????
