    1960 Ignition shielding

Can someone send some dimensions on the top shield for a non-FI top shield? I was comparing my repro shield to what is shown to be correct on the Restorer CD, and the only difference I can tell is the 2 missing cutouts on the passenger side front skirt. I figure that if I can get the measurements, then I can add the cutouts. Thanks, John

    John -

Pages 414-415 of Noland's book shows the progression of changes on that part, with sketches showing the various notches and cutouts that were added by year; they're not dimensioned, however. There are lots of dimensioned GM drawings of the shields for C2's in his Vol.II book, but I haven't seen any for C1's.

Thanks John, I have seen the pages you refer to and was just hoping some kind soul with an original 57-60 top shield would overlay a piece of paper and trace out the two RH cutouts on tront skirts. It would appear that the only repro shields being sold are lacking the 2 cutouts, but in all other areas they look pertty correct. John
