Just reading up on some of the old C1's and always see the term quick steering adapter on some of the big brake cars. What exactly is this and how do you identify it. Anyone have a photo? Sorry for the dumb question, just trying to learn something new on a snowy day !

Re: C1 quick steering adapter for dummies
It's a option (plate) that's connects to the third arm to reduce the amount of steering wheel turns making it REAL fast so when your doing 120 MPH you can make around the turn quicker .

Re: C1 quick steering adapter for dummies
tom: the fast steering adaptor wasn't an option but rather a part of the big brake option offered on the later c-1's. it is a stamped steel plate that located the inner tie rod ends further away from the third arm pivot point and hence one turn of the steering wheel will eventuate in a greater turn of the tires/wheels. they are pretty easy to duplicate/fabricate if you are of a mind to have the fast steering function.mike- Top
