Found My AOS Job Number Today!?

Hey, took out my dash cluster a while back and was checking things out in the car today and noticed a white crayon number "14" on the gray dash bar behind the dash cluster. I am assuming this is my job number?? Am I correct???

    Is your car a '67?

          Kirk,

If it is an AOS job number, then it should have a letter preceeding the job number. AOS job numbers ran A1-500, B1-500, C1-500, etc. STL job numbers just ran 1-500. Might want to check and see if there is also a letter there as well.

Well, FWIW, on my 65 AOS Convertible this is what is found on my dash cross-brace, that's four numeric digits:

Are those numbers the same as found on the trim tag on your car???

                      Jack,

The number pictured is not a job number. I have seen others with similar numbers on the cross brace that do not match the job number printed in other locations on the car. Interestingly, my 65 AOS has nothing printed on the cross brace. I recall that someone stated in a previous thread that the numbers matched his ignition and door lock key codes. Not sure exactly what the numbers on the cross brace represent.

My number look very similar to those posted. Interesting that they don't represent a job number. Just another original "thing" we don't know much about. I heard/read that AOS cars did put the job number on the cross brace behind the glovebox. Is that true in the "real world"?

Nope, just a white number 14. Nothing else. Guess it isn't the job number then?
