    Original Foam Seal

    from my early '65 RH duct bracket/seal/clamp.

    IMO, the foam was probably 2 pieces, and the thickness now is about 50 thou (guess).

      That is pretty much what mine looked like. What do you mean the thickness now is about 50? Do you mean now that it has rotted, and 50 what? Thanks for the pic, that's worth a thousand words. Kirk

              Thanks. I wasn't familiar with things being measured in thousandths. Sorry. I found some great high density black/gray foam at Michaels Craft Store tonight that was almost a perfect thickness. I can already see how this is now going to hold the ductwork TIGHTLY in place. Can't wait to get her all back together. Thanks to everyone. The stuff is about 1/4" thick but easily compresses to much smaller, so it should be a nice snug fit.
