    62 lug wrench

Roy's archive pictures are gone, and cannot find a single archive thread with exact dimensions. Noland's book and archives just say 1" shorter than the well it fits. Is that both ends????

Could someone please descibe the exact length of the long and short sections, along with the angle of bend for this item? Along with other details..."O", bent tip etc. Some detailed pictures would be helpful. Email direct if easier and I'll post the m on my site for future folks too.

Someone is soliciting to sell me one and I need to be educated.

    Thanks!
    Rich

    Does this look correct?

Has the "O", ribs on short end, and bent tip.

Appears to be, but you need to reduce the size of the pictures and focus a little clearer

It appears to be the same as my '62 that I believe to be origional to the car. I've seen some with the bent tip up when in its storage. Mine is down. Good luck

          Wrench not right.....

Thanks Guys, These photos were sent to me so I can't help with that. So I found out from the gentleman that the length from bend to tip on this one is only 15 1/2" so I think that's incrrect. I measured the spare well area for the wrench: long part to bend, apx 18 3/4", bend to lug end is apx 4". So a 15" long end won't make it to the clip section.

I did find a post digging in the archives trying "lug, wheel ...wrench, and "tire iron" , etc and found one on 9/6/99 by Jim Franks that basically said the wrench should be:
"4 inches lug end to bend", 17.72" bend to tip", with the "O" and reibbed short end so that clued me in. Ironically my 62 #483 was built 9/6/61, exactly 38 years earlier than his post!

Thanks for your help, still looking for all of the jacking pieces for my 62.

ps just came back from a 180 mi rountrip to a car show here in FL at a very cool restoration shop in Frostproof. Talked to several NCRS guys and a one owner 63 swc recently restored. Took many photos. Evel Kinevel's(sp?) Stutz was there too. Quite a unusual car close up.
