I have a 1969 350/350 built in November 69. Almost everything is original. The carburetor has 7029207 and a date code of 2815. Is this a replacement carburetor? What range of date would be correct? Should it have a letter code also?

Re: Quadrajet 7029207
If that is the date code, then yes, it is a replacement...not too surprising. Any date within six months preceding the car's build date will be suitable for judging. Only numerals in the date code if the Quadrajet was manufactured by Rochester.
Comprehensive explantation of carburetor date coding is in your TIM&JG; if not in 68-69 TIM&JG, then borrow a copy of the 70-72 TIM&JG.- Top

Jim------
The GM #7029207 was used as the SERVICE carburetor for all 1968-69 Corvette small block applications with Q-Jets for many years. In fact, I believe it was still being manufactured into the 90's.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
