For the FYI department. While I look for a decent set of 1968 AG 7" wheels I decided to pick up a set of the 15X7s from Ecklers to get me rolling again. I am not aware of another supplier of ones that fit the corvette. Matching them up side by side with my one original AG (the spare, all the rest had been replaced with 8" AZs) they are quite good reproductions. Obviously only good for a driver, they have no stamping but have a very similar offset and the beauty rings and caps fit perfectly. The slots on the Ecklers look more like the AZ ie they are slightly narrower than my original AG, and the mounting flange is welded to the rim along the edge rather than the spot welding of the AG.
The backset from the outer edge of the back side of the rim to the mounting flange is 3.69" compared to the 3.80" for the original AG.
