    65 rattle from rear end

It's amazing what you remember about our old toys. I can remember taking my new 65 back to the dealers several times complaining about a really bad rattle in the rear end. Well the boys could not find the rattle to save their lives as I recall. Anyhow I smoked those tires off in short order and low and behold when I went and had new tires installed guess what we found. The right rear tire had a small brass fitting inside it. Some bubba threw the fitting in the tire purposedly or maybe there was some equipment failure (yeah rite). I remember saving that fitting as it was all nice and shiny and brought it to the dealer to show them what the rattle was.John D.
