67 BB hood painting

What is the correct procedure for painting the 67 bb hood? Is the paint code of the stinger the same as the corresponding exterior color? ie. is a black stinger tuxedo black???

For some colors the stripe color is a different number and formulation than its corresponding body color, however I think that black is the same.

color vs. interior/exterior color is described in great detail.

Width of stinger pinstripe?

Can anyone tell me the width that the pinstripe is supposed to be? I was looking at the Orlando show, but didnt have a tape measure with me. Is it 1/4 inch?

Brandon... The AIM shows 0.12 inch stripe diameter which translates to approximately one eighth inch.

Thanks, John. We painted mine 1/8 inch, but it just looks too narrow. Can anyone with an original or Duntov car measure theirs and see how wide the factory actually made it? Thanks again, Brandon.

The AIM gives the correct dimensions. It is 1/8 inch seperated by a 1/4 inch space. If the AIM is followed faithfully you will get the correct result. The only gray area is the length and width of the point on the nose. The dimension given makes no sense, at least on my copy. The stripe should run just inside the nose emblem and down to about 1 inch or so of the extreme point.
