i have a nos ti amp i was going to use on my 70 but its not the same as the one i took off my car so i cant. the part i have is a 1985902. in the box is the ti box, a relay and the harness. what does this fit? the one i took off my car is a 1115343. it is in real bad shape. it probably works but its ugly. i see a nos 343 on ebay for $350. that seems high. thats alot more than i paid for this other one. anyone know where i can get a new one?
thanks, mike
Go over to tispecialty.com, a member. Do a search for others ref. Also Lectric Limited may have some stuff. Know somebody just came out with another inside replacement for the old amp. I got one last year and it worked great.

I have looked thru my limited TI stuff, and 1985902 is not in my info anywhere.
I know that GM used differant TI amps from ( i think 1960 and Up) on Pontiacs
cameros and such. They also had a box that looked like TI boxes but where for the the charging system (kinda like a voltage regulator) which will not work in a TI system,
I wish that I could tell your what that number is for! But have limited knowlage.
Hopefully some one that knows all the numbers can jump in on this.
As far as a new electronics part for your correct box 5354 DAVE Fiderline has a drop in replacement / lectric (as mentiomed above has one / and N&H electric fabricators inc. have one also.
Best of luck

i found out the 1985902 is a hd voltage regulator. any one know what it fits?
also i found another ti amp. the difference is it does not have the entire part number stamped in it. it says 343 - 12v stamped in the side. the one on my car has the whole number stamped in it 1115343. what is this other on? service replacement?
mg -- looked in all my Delco books and Chev parts histories and cannot find any number 1985902 (or even 1985xxx). Probably not even GM useage.
The pulse amps with the "343" stamped on the side are the recent service replacements, as opposed to those with the complete # stamped near the middle mount eyelet hole.
thanks for the 343 info. i guessed the 343's were service replacements. i found 10 nos units. the 1985902 hd voltage regulators are nos in the gm boxes. one is still sealed with the part number on the box. the guy has had them for over 25 years thinking they were ti amps. if i can find out what they fit i will unload them.

Yes the box with 343-12V is a service replacement! the box did not have the numbers stamped at the boss like originals had. People working the line at the time hand stamped the box and sent it along. ( this box is correct for your application)
Hope this help you
Good luck
