Need advise on 67 wing window

My wing window has too much play and I guess I need to have the regulator rebuilt. Can anyone recommend a reliable source? Do I have to remove the door window? I do not have power windows. Thanks

Walt,

There is an outfit that rebuilds them, and I think there is a self rebuild kit. Your shop manual will have the disassembly instructions, sorry I don't know the re-builders name.

You can buy a rebuild kit, with an improved gear that is aluminum instead of pot metal, from America's Finest Corvettes. The process of removing and rebuilding the regulator is not too bad if you are mechanically inclined. I think you can leave the side window in the door and even leave the vent window assembly loosely in place if all you need to do is remove and replace the vent window regulator.
