78 interior light wont shut off

Just recently , shut the vette off, looked out the window, interior was still
lit up tried closing both doors etc,, had to remove all the bulbs,grin,,
any ideas would be really great, ?bad courtesy light swithch, bad ground, ?timer on switch? thanks, joe t

I've found this to be the delay timer. I'm not sure if they are still available though. Hopefully, Joe Lucia will see your post and give you more insight as to the availibility of this part.

Part #463498 Control Should still be avail. from GM at around $40.00.
I had the same problem a couple years ago on my 79. To locate this timer mine was behind the glove box upper right corner of dash. I was told on some 78 and 79 they could be located also under the dash near the steering column area.
My original one was orange in color the replacement was white.
