    Intermittent Idle Problems 66 327

Car ran and idled fine for 12 months after I acquired it but had a primary fuel bowl gasket leak. Then it started intermittently dropping below the 700 or so RPM idle speed and stalling. Perfect time for a re-build as it hadn't been apart for 15 years. Rebuilt stock carb with a Holley kit and ran perfectly (with no fuel leaks) for a week. Now the the interrmittent idle problem is back. I'm going to replace all vacum lines and check throttle plate shaft play. (I assume I just put a dial indicator on the shaft and try to deflect it with a finger) Any other things I should scrutinize? Thanks

check the metering body and the throttle body for flatness as they warp and cause these problem.
