Need to get My 67 Small block hood to the paint shop. I have remove the paint both top and underside. Do most people prime the underside before painting. I have had to sand the underside because the paint was pretty bad. Also, I want to reapply a bonding agent the the tabs on the unerside. I have an Evercoat Panel adhesive that I was going to use By putting it in a plastic bag and using like a cake decorator. Any suggestions, better solutions, products or application process are welcomed.I need to get the hood done tonight!!!!!!!

Re: Hood Prep For Paint-- Urgent!!!!!!!
Don`t do it. Bond it I mean. Those tabs were not bonded. That is just a non hardning puddy that keeps the hood from vibrating. The hoods are only bonded around the edges.
Generally they were not primed on the underside. There was some primer oversprayed, but it was mostly uninentional.- Top
