I am researching a restoration that is believed to have been done about 1985-86 by a shop in Houston called Corvette Concepts. Does anyone know about this shop? Is it still in business under a different name? Any help would be appreciated.

Amazing what this NCRS board can find....
Mr. Hoover, Corvette Concepts was located on main street in League City Texas in the early 1980's. I used to work at a bicycle shop down the street. One of the ladies who worked there had a brother-in-law who was a co-owner I believe. Now I was about 14 at the time so honestly I didn't pay much attention but I think they focused primarily on repair & custom work and not on true "restoration". Two people were shot & killed there in 1985 (?) in what was hypothesized as a drug-deal-went-bad (including the brother-in-law). Soon thereafter it closed and the cars & parts were removed. It then became an auto-repair shop and the last time I was in League City (approx 7 months ago) the building was vacant.
I'm not sure exactly how to work further on finding out more regarding your car. Perhaps a Texas title search? By the way - are you located in Houston? (I just moved to Austin & know a bunch of the Corvette-folk in the area)
