    Heater Control Dash Lights

Greetings gentlemen, I have another question for you mid-year fans. I know that the heater controls and radio knobs are supposed to be backlit on my 66 but they aren't. Upon investigating I located one shrouded bulb holder with a green cover hanging next to the radio (yes the radio light for the face is still in its little socket). I suspect that this is the light for those controls I spoke of. The question is where does it go to accomplish its lighting task ? Are there supposed to be two bulb holders or just the one? Thanks for the help on the Amp gauge, turned out that the gauge itself was bad.

Pete, there are 2 bulbs like the one you found to light the heater controls. They clip onto the bracket that holds the clock. It's a little tight in there good luck.

Pete, If you really want a clear picture of what is going on with your back center console area, Remove your glove box. Then with a good light and your wifes' make-up mirror you can SEE where everything goes. The light shouldn't work untill it's cliped (grounded) to its area.

        Bob & Brian,

Thank you for taking the time to response to my question. I plan on pulling the glove box as suggested .I take it that the bulb holders should be placed on either side of the clock bracket pointing between between the control knobs (?) I also imagine that there will be mounting spots on the clock bracket to receive the bulb holders (at 9 and 3 oclock ?) Sorry for the bother but it's easier to find something if you know where to look !
