    65 heater box leak

My heater box has a bit of radiator fluid coming from it and when I turn on the heat it fogs mf passenger front windshield as discussed in another post. It has no AC, my question is the heater core the problem or are there other sources to look at before taking the whole thing apart.

    Most likely the heater core.

Ed is correct and this is a fairly simple fix. Since you don't have a/c then your job is much easier.

Re: 65 heater box removed VIN support colors?

I have taken everything out and have found a origonal core leaking. One other question is the bar holding the VIN tag is three colors maroon on the outside (origional color is Millano Maroon) black in the middle and the inside is green as it goes behind the center console. What is correct? why the rainbow

              Rainbow

Birdcage components WERE present when body went through paint booth (structural rigidity). Some items were randomly painted INSIDE the body (common to find the outline of a cowl grille on the driver/passenger floor pans beneath the glued on jute supporting the carpet). Painters were in a hurry and nobody cared about overspray on 'non-cosmetic' surfaces!

                Re: Rainbow

The inside is green because the steel "birdcage" was sprayed with (green) zinc chromate primer after it was welded together before it went upstairs to the body shop to be set on the body build truck and have the body bonded around it; the birdcage was welded together and primed in the "basement" of the plant.
