    64 FM Radio failure

My 1964 AM/FM radio has a high rate of failure. Every few years or so , I lose a transistor or diode and have to pull it out and send it of for repair. The problem is just general aging / degradation of components, I would surmise. Has anyone found a good quality replacement AM/FM radio that bolts in with no mods? Any ideas?

You can replace your radio with one from Custom Autosound sold direct or through the better known Vette i.e. Ecklers, Mid America, Zip Products, Corvette Central vendors. They istall without mods. You may need a speaker also due to age and exposure to the sun. Hope this helps.
