    3X2 carburetor linkage

I recently added the correct dated carbs on my 427/400 car. I purchased a new linkage kit, but it appears that the recommended linkage hookup is different than the old linkage. The old (as I recall) was bolt, then the plastic washer, then the plastic sleeve that fits on the bolt in the accelerator lever slot, then another plastic washer, then the front carb linkage, then the rear carb linkage and finally the nut. The new linkage is bolt, front carb rod on the carburetor side of the accelerator lever, then a plastic washer, bolt sleeve that fits in the accelerator lever slot, another plastic washer, then the rear carb rod, and finally the nut. What is the correct way to hook this up. Thanks Jim Carmain #37003
