The event is THIS SUNDAY. NOTE: We'll have the RACE on at Tony's!
NCRS C4 Tech Judging Session https://www.ncrs.org/masondixon
Sunday February 17th 10am - ???
Tony's Corvette Shop (For Directions: http://www.tonyscorvetteshop.com )
Gaithersburg, Maryland
Tony will be bringing in several low mileage early C4s and have them on his lifts (as required) for inspection. We're going to do a comparison of the various model years. Tony will also show us some of the more subtle originality details, how to tell various repro parts from the real McCoy. This seminar will cover a wide variety of areas (Mechanical, chassis, interior etc...) and a variety of model years 84-89. We'll also work towards learning enough that we can accurately ID original from replaced parts and fill out the survey forms for our early C4s to support development of the Technical Judging Guides. Bring something to take notes as Tony is a fountain of C4 details - things like original spark plug wires have cylinder numbers stamped on them and what kind of printing is on original vs. replacement relays and tons of other little details us NCRS types love to learn about. I'm planning on driving my C4 to the seminar and I'm sure I'll be running out to double check things on my car as we go along.
The survey forms are in PDF form on the Mason Dixon NCRS Chapter website later tonight. https://www.ncrs.org/masondixon You may fill them out and send them directly to Vito (address on the form), or you may bring them already filled out to the judging seminar and I'll collect and mail them to him enmass or you may pick up copies of the forms at the seminar.
I hope to see some of you there! ~Juliet
PS - We'll have lunch & some of my Mexican specialty for munching on!!
