    C1 Rear Spring Front Hanger

I've pulled my rear springs for rework - a couple questions -
    1. Is there a secret to getting the front pin out of the saddle hanger? What holds the large disk end in place? (All this to come after I break the nut loose - it's rusty).
    2. Is the nut on the center bolt (3723010) special in any way? On one side, mine was sort of a crown type (inverted).

I was very interested to see the construction of the original liners (one side only). Apparently the groove holds the stapled-in central part of the liner, to keep the liner from shifting out of place.

Al the front spring bolt is held in by little knurlings that grab the inner bore of the hanger, It should just tap out, but with all the rust problrems you have had you would probably be wise to soak in WD40 or the like for a while. The nut sounds like a correct nut for the center bolt. John
