I have looked all over the assembly manual and cannot determine if the lower radiator support mounts directly to the frame or if it is isolated by any rubber mounts. Your help is appreciated. If you see it in the assembly manual, please advise section and page. Thank you from Lubbock TX

Re: 1973 radiator support to frame question
Roger-----
The 1973 radiator support has two lower mounting points in addition to the side mounting points. The lower mounting points are retained by bolts which fasten through "L" shaped brackets, GM #327642. These brackets are, in turn, retained to brackets which are welded to the front crossmember. The bolts used for all applications in this system are 7/16-14 X 1".
There are no rubber cushions used anywhere in the radiator support to crossmember mounting system. However special shims, GM #3952926, are used between the support and the bracket to correctly position the radiator support. Both the 327642 bracket and the 3952926 shims are discontinued. The shims, though, are available in reproduction. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
