    1967 Clutch Noise

Driving to work on a beautiful Colorado February day, I notices a little noise coming out of my clutch pedal. It was kind of a rubbing, tap tap tap tap noise. It went faster when I sped up and slower when I went slower. It went away when I applied a little pressure to the clutch pedal.

I diagnose this as either an adjustment needing to be done, or as a throwout bearing needing attention.

    How far off am I?

How much freeplay does it have?

Should be about an inch at the pedal. Also check the linkage to be sure all the correct parts are there for a '67, especially all the springs, and you might check the bolts under the dash on the pedal linkage to be sure they are all tight.

About 1.5 to 2 inches. I'm assuming this is measured from fully out till resistance is felt..........

How about a source to tell if all of the springs are the right ones for the 67..

      Thanks,
