    Frame On!!!

    I'm getting ready to marry the body up to the frame on my 73 roadster. I want to install the front bumper frame work and radiator/shroud before dropping the body on. Will the body clear everything with the radiator and shroud installed?

      The front bumper and the painted cover need to be installed after the body is on. If the radiator support is in the body then the radiator and fan shroud need to be installed after the body is on. The air tank can be mounted on the frame before the body drop but may need a final adjustment when mounting the bumper. The height of the front of the body also affects the hood fit.

          I'm doing a Frame off rebuild. The motor and Tranny are mounted in the frame and I'm trying to decide if I should mount the bumper support so I can install the radiator and shroud before dropping the body.

              You can mount the bumper support. I think the front of the body would be weak without the radiator support installed. The fan shroud could be set in place but I think the radiator must go in last. If you feel the front of the body has enough support the way you are lifting it you may be able to have it all mounted to the frame but I never tried it.
