    Quadrajet Primary Throttle Plate Holes

Has anyone drilled small holes; 1/16", in the primary throttle plates to allow the car to idle properly and have the idle screws function?

    Drilling Q-Jet

If memory serves, there's a thread on this in the HP book on Q-Jet available from the NCRS library (store--this site) in their chapter on modifications for race/performance....

yes you can drill the holes but if you have a hot cam you will need to drill the idle/air bleed screws out to about .090 and drill the idle feed restrictions and these are in the doug roe book.
