can anyone tell me the difference between a 67 and 68 steering wheel. are they both simulated wood? are the spoke angles and mounting screw pattern the same?

The 1967 and 1968 Corvette steering wheels are NOT the same. The 1967 wheel was GM #9746195. The 1968 wheel was GM #9748390. Both of these wheels are of plastic and have a simulated walnut grain and appearance. I do not know, for certain, what the difference is but I THINK it is either the diameter of the wheel (the 68 MAY be 1" smaller in OD) or it's related to the angle of the spokes.

The 68 is simulated wood and has a diameter of 16". I'd be glad to post a picture of a 68 wheel if it would help. In 69 they went to a 15" wheel I believe.
