    '70 Fuel Tank

Can someone please confirm that the original part number for the gas tank on my 1970 350/300 TH400 w/ AC and TCS early (#04102 Feb18 build date) convertible (Wash DC delivered car) is GM # 3967741 ? I need to order the replacement from Quanta and their application list is somewhat confusing. I want to make sure I get the right one. Currently I don't believe the correct tank is in my car. Also, I should not have the vapor canister right? Because I don't... at the moment. Thanks, ~Juliet

    Re: '70 Fuel Tank

    Juliet-----

GM #3967741 was the PRODUCTION fuel tank used for your 1970, non-California-delivered Corvette. This particular fuel tank is still available from GM to this very day. However, it does now lack some of the non-engineering features of originality such as the O.L. Anderson Company logo which is available on the Quanta-reproduced tanks.

Your non-California-delivered 1970 DID NOT use evaporative emissions controls (EEC). Besides the EEC system, itself, California cars used a different fuel tank to be compatible with the system. This tank was GM #3967749 and it's still available, too.
