I am in the process of reinstalling my steering wheel and turn signal housing after a complete makeover. I have tried several times to tighten the wedge that secures the signal housing to the column with absolutely no luck. A very kind individual has been working with me on this, but nothing so far. The wedge is installed correctly with the part number showing. I have done all I can to secure it tightly with no idea where to go now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Let me state the wedge isn't damaged nor is the column area. Thanks in advance. Craig

Re: 1961 Signal Housing Installation
I like taking my wifes AMEX or an expired credit card and cutting a strip off it. Slide it between the steering column and the wedge. The credit card forms to the roundness of the column and fills the gap. A phillips screw is used to tighten the housing.
By doing this, it also keeps my wife out of the malls until her new card arrives.
