On C1 ('58 in my case) doors, when I look through the gap where the window goes (between the reveal and garnish moldings), the visible fiberglass area is, of course, painted body color. Unfortunately, it usually doesn't look so good, as dirt and whatever else makes the area look grungy. Since my car is already hopelessly incorrect in so many other areas, I'm thinking of painting this part of the door flat black instead. I figure this will make the area less noticeable. Does this makes sense?
Paint advice for C1 window opening?

Really?
I've looked at a lot of '58-'62s and it seems they all were body color on the door top under the reveal molding. Of course, it's entirely possible that all these cars were repainted and the blackout step was skipped (we're not talking top-flight examples here). In any event, correct or otherwise, I think I'll go black. Thanks for the input!- Top
