I have a few bolt head marking questions for my 65 396/425 hp car. I know that the bolt marking information is not definitive. Just looking for the benefit of your experience. Here is what I have:
Steering box cover - bolt heads have "AP" in center with 3 radial lines. These bolts are natural steel now - Should they be black phos?
Starter to block bolts - Long one is "WB" with 3 radial lines. Short one is "M" below what looks like an eight on its side, again with 3 radial lines. these bolts are cad or zinc plated.
Fuel pump to block bolts - I have 2 sets with the small 7/16 head. One is "E" in the center and cad / zinc plated The other set is "J" with black phos finish. Which ones do you recommend.
I would like to know if any of you experts have seen these head markings in these applications. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob
