Finally got around to bench testing my fuel nozzle spray pattern on the 61 as outlined on this post in the past and the service guide pg 6M-25. When using the drill to operate the gear pump, should I go clockwise or counterclockwise? Turning the cable slowely clockwise causes it to bind after around 10 turns, seems to turn counterclockwise easily. I'm afraid to go any further until I get the correct direction. No mineral spirit spray yet.
Thanks,
Ron

Rotate your distributor in a manner that turns the rotor clockwise as viewed from the top (or crank the engine) and watch the rotation of the shaft drive for the pump
