I have heard recently that one cannot get red trunk mats at this time. I have heard this with beige but not the red. Most of the suppliers show them in their catalogs. Just wondering. Thanks!

Steve, The supply of all C1 trunk mats has almost completely dried up. There was only one vendor making them and he quit. I talked to Dale over at Al Knoch, and he said that they think they may have found a company to produce them with Knoch's tooling. He said that it might be close to a year before we start seeing mats available again. Romeo Engineering has been working on a more correct set of tooling for 56-57 cars but I don't think that they have started producing parts yet. I lucked out and found a mat at a vendor for my early 60 last month, but it was the only oneI found after several days of calling around.

Be Patient
Within six months there will be a reproduction mat available with everything looking good except the back side which will again be smooth.
The repops that have been available for the past two years aren't worth having. They don't even have the US, Date, or part number installed. The reverse side was a joke and even the top side was bogus.

Yes, within a year. BUT these mats will still be detectable reproductions and you just can't beat an original NOS.
