I am installing rear bearings I have the tool that you use to pull the bearings in with on the spindle my question is I know to go ahead and put the grease seal in on the out side close to the wheal before pulling the spindle in place. my question is should i leave the other eal off until i get the spindle pulled in our do I go ahead and put both seals in place then pull the spindle in. what i was thinking is the extra grease has got to go as you pull the spindle in. our does it matter.

The outer seals are installed and seated in the bearing supports after installing the outer bearings in the support. Then, the spindle is "pulled through" the outer bearing using the special tool. There should be no excess of grease requiring displacement or otherwise interfering with this procedure. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
