Re: Repairing 58-62 heater switch
I have repaired a couple of these myself. The usual problem is a plastic disc inside which has a D shaped opening which matches the D cross section of the switch operating rod. This disc usually gets broke or rounded out. It can be glued back. Lots of small parts inside that have to go back the right way, so if you try it yourself make note of how it is assembled. The first one is really hard to repair, but after that it's not a big deal.- Top

I took mine apart. All it needed was a good cleaning and replacement of a wire. It works fine. Just be careful. Saved $200. It was not hard. You need to lube the cable or replace as it turns in the sleeve which turns on the blower.
