Would like some info on how to install the dust covers? Aare the staples done by hand? Is there a tool? Should the new covers be installed before the black out painting or should I wait and install the new ones after the painting is done (then remove the old ones)?
Getting ready to remove the dash pads and center console. Any tips, suggestions. Also the dash cluster? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
The covers are installed before blackout, i.e. staples should be painted. I can't tell you if the staples were hand installed or not but I suspect there was a gun of some type used. It shouldn't matter though how the staples were pressed in as long as they are there.
