    rear view mirror

The interior rear view mirror on my '67 is one solid gray color. The specs say it is supposed to be two tone gray. Looking from the back side (non-mirror)there is a lip around the edge, then the body of the mirror frame. What color is each part?

    Color(s) SB:

    (1) Housing-buffed SS.
    (2) Glass Insert-grey rubber.
    (3) Actuator Knob-grey injection molded plastic painted black

Note: Very early '67 (approx VIN 2500) have been seen using the
'64-66 tear-drop/trapezoid shaped actuator, while later cars used
    the L-shaped actuator lever.

Others chime in and correct me if I'm wrong (going from memory).

My late 67 has the gray L shaped actuator but I see no sign of it ever being painted black.
