    Caliper Bleed Screws

When the front calipers are installed, should the bleed screws be on top or bottom of caliper when viewed from the front. The car is a 1965 (using second design calipers). In the rear, the dual bleeders are toward the front of the car, and at the high point of the caliper.
    Thanks in advance.

Calipers are always positioned with the bleeders at the top to prevent air entrapment - you can't bleed them otherwise.

      John:

Thanks----it sounds logical, as air bubbles will rise (in the northern hemisphere, or am I thinking about the Coriolis Effect??!!). I've gotta educate a friend of mine who temporarily dislodged my common sense by insisting otherwise.

      Regards,
      Joe
