I have two Delco Remy audio horns. One is stamped 232 and 6J2(assume Sept. 1966 ????) and the second is stamped 231 and 6E1(assume May 1966 ?????). Any help as to what these belong to is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Horn Numbers
Dave,
In looking up the horn information in the NCRS Information Manual and Judging Guide for 1966 Corvettes, the date format is YMW, or year, month and week. Your one horn (6J2)is date stamped October, 1966, 2nd week. The other (6E1) is date stamped May, 1966, 1st week. It doesn't mention what the 232 and 231 mean. Again, this is for a 1966 car. You didn't indicate what your's was.
Maybe someone else could help with the other numbers.

Re: Horn Numbers
Dave, if you will email me I will give you the phone number and address of a guy that did an exceeelnt job on rebuilding my horns. I'd rather not send out his phone number over the internet without his approval. He may be able to help you with this. Zach # 9838.1967 L79 Sunfire Yellow Black Leather Convertible- Duntov
