Lighter : 72 Casco 12V

this lighter came out of my 67 and I assumed it was original. The NCRS tech manual says the correct lighter for 67 is the 63 Casco 12V. Anyone know what the 72 is for? thanks. Brandon

Brandon - Probably a full size car or Chevelle; but the 63 Casco is the one for your '67. Pete

72 Casco is a lighter element made in 1972. Apparently they used the same dates for many years, i.e. 63, 72, 73 etc.

72 Casco was used on some 1972 Corvettes. I believe it is slightly longer than the 63 Casco and it would require the use of its own longer receiver to have the correct fit and look.
