I am replacing the oil pressure line on my 1962 and am being confused by the disparity between the ncrs judging manual, which states the line should be looped at the firewall, and the aim depiction showing no loop. Can anyone clarify this for me? Also if a loop is required what diameter should it be? As always thanks in advance.

Re: Oil pressure line
AIM was intended for GM interal consumption (path for designers to communicate with assy workers). Pictorals are intentionally inaccurate (save drafting time and cost). Didn't really matter what the physical part looked like in detail as GM PN was called out and that defined the item.... So, use the AIM as it was intended--a general purpose assy guideline.
Dale says lead plated steel. Jez, and I just reclaimed 30 pounds of raw tin from an abandoned high country mining smelter. Shucks, I guess I'll have to pitch it now....- Top
