Transistorized Ignition parts

I have a question for the authorities out there. Did companies other than Delco make T.I. parts, such as the Pole Piece and the Magnetic Pickup Coil for the tach drive Distributors?

Not that I am aware of. If they did, I've never seen or heard of any other branded TI parts. Even considering that other Chevrolet models besides Corvette used TI and the fact that some Pontiacs also used it, I doubt that the number of units out there ever justified another manufacturer getting into the business of SERVICE parts for them.

M & H Electrical Fabricators makes amplifier circuit board replacements and pickup coils for the distributors. A couple companies make replacement wiring harnesses. (M & H, Lectric Limited, Factory Fit)

They're located in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Their web-site is www.wiringharness.com. I was aware that they reproduced the TI wiring harness and had available the solid state TI replacement module, but I didn't know that they manufactured the TI magnetic pick-up coil.

Bob,Several years ago I purchased the magnetic coil pick-up wiring spool(the inner spool with the leads that come out of the distributor) from The Last Detail. At the time, they told me they were manufacturing these reproduction parts for other vendors. Since an earlier owner had cut the wires and spliced them, the only part I needed for the pickup was the inner plastic spool,winding and the leads,which they supplied as a seperate piece.Regard,Kieran #11373
