    A/C Box Firewall color

Are the A/C boxes the same color as the engine compartment,
    "John Deer, Blitz Black"?
I have several here and some look "RAW" glass.
    For cars 68-72.
I'm assuming they are black. and these have been outside for awhile.

The box is blacked out with semi-gloss black like the rest of the engine compartment. The coverage is usually thin. You got the right stuff.

      Disagree....

From the '70-72 Judging Guide, Mechanical, Sect 21, Air Conditioning:

"The fiberglass housing covering the evaporator is black fiber reinforced plastic, unpainted...."

I think it's pretty uniform across MY and Shark cars that the Harrison 'box' was not installed at the time of engine compartment black out. If it were, things like the POA valve + Harrison ID label would be unreadable--covered by blackout paint. Stop me if I'm wrong, but that's the way I've been judging 'em despite the fact I intentionally painted the Harrison box on my '71 AC driver car....

You are correct Jack, the EBA (evaporator Blower assembly) is installed after paint and blackout.

I was interested because, I too thought the color under the sticker was raw and unpainted.
            big thanks
