Hello, I have a 72 corvette that my wife and i just installed a new front end rebuild kit. Everything went good but the lower ball joint grease fittings popped out when we tried to put grease in it. It like the grease fitting thread is too small for the ball joint hole. All the other grease fittings went in fine (tie rods, upper ball joints) All were self tapping threads. anyone have any suggestions how to keep the grease in the lower ball joints? Thanks in advance. Eric
Re: New lower ball joint grease fitting popping ou
Did you mix up the smaller tierod end grease fitting with the one for the ball joint which is a larger ninety degree one? My front end kit had some mixed parts in it ie some extra, some missing from their packaging.
